Rev. Dr. Takashi Miyaji will be the Guest Speaker at the Spring Ohigan Service and Seminar on Sunday, March 16. He will give two Dharma Talks, one to the Dharma School students and another to the adults. Following the Dharma Talks, Rev. Miyaji will lead a Seminar.
Biography
Rev. Dr. Takashi Miyaji has been serving as the Dean of the Institute of Buddhist Studies located in Berkeley, California, since August 2024. He is also the minister at the Southern Alameda County Buddhist Church in Union City. He has been at SACBC since August 1, 2020.
He graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a Bachelor’s Degree with a double major in Philosophy and Japanese language and literature; Institute of Buddhist Studies at Berkeley, California, with a Master’s in Buddhist Studies; Ryukoku University in Kyoto, Japan, with a Master’s Degree in Shin Buddhist Studies; and completed the doctoral coursework at Ryukoku University.
Seminar and Lunch
Following the service and refreshments at about 12:30 pm, please join us to discuss the Language of the Pure Land, a special
seminar given by Rev. Dr. Takashi Miyaji.
The lunch and seminar will follow the usual refreshments following the Spring Ohigan Service. The lunch and seminar will be held in the YBA Hall Board Room.
