On Sunday, October 10, 2021, ABA hosted the annual Bishops’ and ABA Memorial Service. Reverend Elaine Donlin, Minister Assistant from the Buddhist Church of San Francisco, gave a sermon during the service and led a seminar following the webcast.
Reverend Elaine Donlin is a Minister Assistant at the Buddhist Church of San Francisco (BCSF). She received her Todudo in 2013.
In addition to leading Sunday services at BCSF, she also leads monthly Metta Services for the Buddhist Church of San Francisco, the Enmanji Buddhist Temple and Buddhist Temple of Marin.
She has been teaching the Essentials of Buddhism since 2008, serves as Buddhist Community Clergy for several SF Hospitals, and partners with the San Francisco Zen Center to provide Meditation and Buddhism in the San Francisco County Men’s and Women’s Jails. She’s passionate about social justice and leads the BCSF’s annual participation in the San Francisco Interfaith Council Winter Shelter Meal Program for the Unhoused.
She is honored to be serving her 2nd term on the Board of Directors for the San Francisco Interfaith Council and is equally honored to be a founding member of the BCSF LGBTQ+ group.
