Asian American Heritage Month
In honor of Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander Heritage month, Girl Scouts offered the opportunity to appreciate and learn about many of the great contributions, experiences and voices from the AANHPI community.
Our Girl Scouts earned the AANHPI patch by completing eight steps, which gave them the opportunity to learn about Asian American and Pacific Islanders (AAPI)
authors and illustrators, learn a poem by a Youth Poet Laureate, research famous chefs, and Olympic athletes and medalists. They then visited an important historical site – our very own MVBT Crooked Tree, and learned about its history!
Bridging
The Troop will celebrate the end of the year by hosting their Bridging Ceremony. We have two scouts bridging to the next level:
- Keiko T. bridging from Brownie to Junior
- Hayden S. bridging from Cadette to Senior
