Many thanks to everyone for supporting Mochitsuki 2021.
Although it was not our annual traditional Mochitsuki, thanks to the Osaka-Ya manju shop in Sacramento, we were able to offer FRESH Mochi and Yokan for purchase this year. We are grateful for their support as they delivered over 750 pounds of komochi to us. We hope you enjoyed it.
Thank you to all the volunteers from Zone 13:
- Deane, Emily and Caitlen Furuichi, Gene Kita, Brian and Grace Lee, Dave Maruyama, Donna Okubo, Kay Sasaki, Nancy Sugimoto and Lillian Terada.
- Also to Elise Fujimoto, Sue Yuen, John Arao, Harry Ohara, Julie Nakatani, Bob Matsumoto, Randy Sato, Bryan Nishimoto, Doug Sawamura, Jean Shimoguchi and Reverend Mukojima.
We appreciate all your time and support. It was a cold and windy day, but the rain held out and it was great to see all of you in person, even though we were socially distanced.
Wishing you all a Happy and Healthy New Year!
In gassho,
Zone 13 Mochitsuki Committee
