Alta Mesa Cemetery Cleanup
On April 19, Miroku took part in the Alta Mesa Cemetery cleanup with ABA. And lunch was provided by the ABA.
Alma Bonita Animal Rescue Project
On April 20, the 6th to 8th Grade Dharma School Class and the Miroku group gave a presentation about their Dharma Project, which we did for the Alma Bonita Animal Rescue (ABAR). We talked about our visit to the rescue and shared stories about the animals we met. We also
explained how the money we raised could help the animals. To finish, we announced a Bake Sale happening on May 11 to raise funds for ABAR, where Garrett Tao jokingly said that Michael Jordan might (or might not) show up!
Upcoming Activities
During May meeting, we discussed all the above and made suggestions for our end of the year party. We also talked about how Miroku can help out with Obon this summer.
I was informed I signed up for a May Echo article, we checked AEDs, and finally we had more snacks.
Next Meeting
Our next meeting will be on Sunday, June 8, in the YBA Hall Conference Room after Dharma School.
