The Middle School Dharma Class and Miroku members voted to select Canine Companions as their 2026 Dana Project. Canine Companions is a leading provider of service dogs for adults, children and veterans with disabilities. They also provide dogs to professionals working in healthcare, criminal justice and educational settings. Their dogs are provided at no cost to clients.
Visited Canine Companions Chapter We visited the local chapter and participated in puppy training. The dogs were adorable and full of energy! Puppies are trained with volunteers for 1.5 years before going through professional training if they make the grade. Once formal training is completed, dogs “graduate” and are placed.
