Personal reflections of Temple experiences by our graduating high school seniors have started. On Sunday, May 11, Olivia Wang and Marcus Wang shared their recollections and personal connections to the Temple.

FDSTL CONFERENCE
This year’s Federation of Dharma School Teachers’ Leagues (FDSTL) Conference was hosted by the Southern District Dharma School Teachers’ League (SDDSTL) on Saturday, April 26, and held at Gardena Buddhist Temple. The theme for this year’s conference was “Acceptance, Understanding, and Respect,” with the keynote presentation by Reverend Ko’e Umezu from the West LA Buddhist Temple. Workshops included fun and interactive lessons focusing on the individual elements of the theme.
While Reverend Mukojima and I were the only representatives from Mountain View Buddhist Temple, Coast District was well-represented with teachers from San Jose Buddhist Church Betsuin. Next year’s FDSTL conference will be held one week earlier on Saturday, April 18, 2026, in Fresno.
