A Certificate of Recognition was awarded to Susan Johansen, better known as “Chris” to the MVBT Sangha. This recognition is from the City of Mountain View and is signed by Mayor Ellen Kamei.
Chris has been coming to the Mountain View Buddhist Temple several times a week and has spent many hours for the past several years helping with landscaping and keeping trash picked up. Chris is not a Temple member, but graciously has given her time maintaining the Temple grounds. She has pulled weeds, trimmed trees, picked up garbage and more. She has treated the Temple grounds like her home.
Chris has also been seen by Temple members cleaning the meridian on both Shoreline Road and W. Middlefield Road.
