Chicken Teriyaki Fundraiser
BWA will be making our delicious cabbage tsukemono for the May 3rd Chicken Teriyaki Fundraiser.
- Make tsukemono, Friday, May 1, 8 am – 11 am, Sangha Hall
- Pack tsukemono, Saturday, May 2, 9 am – 10:30 am, Sangha Hall
Girl Scout Troup 60736 Afternoon Tea Luncheon for BWA
On Saturday, April 4, seventeen of our BWA members and Sensei Mukojima were Guests of Honors at a luncheon hosted by our Temple Girl Scout Troup 60736. The Girl Scouts (Kurumi M., Hayden S., Ava Y., Keiko T., Kelly T. and Addie H.) planned and prepared a very special tea luncheon. Sup- porting them were troop leaders (Mari Ueda-Tao, Jill Nishimoto, Debbie Ho, Patty Sakuma and Joan Aoki) and their parents.
Even better than high tea at a fancy hotel, the Girl Scouts served us our choice of teas, assorted tea sandwiches, scones with a trio of filling choices, fruit cup and assorted desserts. All attendees received a tea cup favor with tea.
Our BWA ladies enjoyed conversing with the Girl Scouts during lunch. In addition, three lucky attendees with a special dot underneath their tea cup favor received a beautiful mini orchid plant.
Domo arigato gozaimasu to all the Girl Scouts and their leaders for treating our BWA to such a wonderful event and for making us feel so special.
