48-Star American Flag Signing

On January 9, the BWA held a successful WWII 48-Star American Flag Signing event at our Temple.  We owe Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge Johnny Cepeda Gogo our gratitude for his efforts on behalf of the Japanese community.

Please see the story and photos in this issue.  See more of the pertinent links in the article.  We also thank the hard-working volunteers who all came to help.  A special “Thank You: to Shirley Matsumoto and Lois Okino!

Memorial Service

Thank you, Reverend Naomi Nakano of the San Luis Obispo Buddhist Church and Guadalupe Buddhist Church for her Dharma messages and seminar, at our Esshinni-ko/BWA Memorial Service.  We were delighted with her inspirational and insightful messages.

Dana Youth Fund Drive

We thank the Sangha for the generous donations to our MVBT BWA Dana Youth Fund Drive.  We again were able to give our donations to the Temple’s affiliated youth groups.
