Eshhinni-ko, Kakushinni-ko, Lady Takeko Kujo, Lady Yoshiko Ohtani and BWA Memorial Service
On January 11, our special guest speaker, Rev. Melissa Opel of the Buddhist Church of San Francisco gave wonderful Dharma Talks to our Dharma School and then our Adults. Rev. Opel shared in depth insights about Eshinniko, Kakushinni-ko, Lady Kujo and Lady Ohtani and their lasting impact to Jodo Shinshu Buddhism. Their contributions are why we honor them each year at our special BWA Memorial Service, along with all our BWA members who have since passed away.
Dana Youth Fund Gift Presentation
We thank our Sangha for their generous donations to our BWA Dana Youth Fund drive. During the BWA Memorial Service, BWA presented gifts to Dharma School, YBA, Miroku, Boy Scouts/Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts.
Luncheon
Following the BWA Memorial Service, BWA members and guests enjoyed a three-course luncheon with Rev. Melissa Opel and wife Becca Opel at Ristorante Don Giovanni.
New Members Welcome
BWA members work diligently for the betterment of Temple, and the needs of the affiliated organizations through Dana (selfless giving) and Temple activities, where many friendships are formed.
