The program started in February 2002, and the original committee members were Yas Shimoguchi, Allan Nara, Chuck Uyeda, Amy Imai, Miyo Takegami, and Richard Endo. Aiko Sugimoto joined a year later. When Aiko became President Elect, it opened the door to the Craft Program joining the existing Seniors Activity Program, with the support from the original committee members. On May 5, 2005, the Senior Craft Program started.

We want to express our sincere gratitude for the many monetary and material donations that we continue to receive. The proceeds are used to supplement lunches, trips, and special activities that are planned during the year. These donations enhance the operation of our program.
