Bishop’s and ABA Memorial Service
On Sunday, October 20, ABA chaired the Bishop’s and ABA Memorial Service with guest speaker and former MVBT Resident Minister, Rev. Dennis Shinseki.
Onenju Workshop
Also, on October 20, ABA hosted an Onenju Workshop, attended by 21 ABA and other Temple members. A great big thanks to Joan Aoki, who graciously offered to show those that attended how to make a wrist onenju. Everyone went home with a beautiful personally made Onenju. Much appreciation to Mieko Nakano who arranged the workshop.
ABA Meet & Mingle
Our annual Meet & Mingle on November 8 was another huge success with over 60 members and guests participating. With an array of tasty bites, extensive drink choices, “brain strain” challenges, the always-exciting LRC “tournament”, and a rare “Battle of the Sexes” win by the men, it truly was a fun opportunity to meet and mingle.
Many thanks to Alice Ishida and helpers, the Kitasoe Family crew, the M&M Committee, ABA members for their food contributions, and everyone who helped with setup and cleanup. Domo Arigato!
