Sangha Day Picnic
At the Sangha Day Picnic on September 28, ABA was responsible for the Bingo games. Ryan Tao (Honorary ABA member) did a great job of calling the numbers while other duties such as writing the called numbers on the blackboards and verifying the winning cards were handled by the following ABA members that Russ Nakano recruited…Adele and Norm Sato, Bryan

BCA Bishops’ Memorial Service
The ABA and BCA Bishops’ Memorial Service Sunday, was held on October 12 with guest speaker, Sensei Koichi Mizushima of the Sacramento Betsuin. Sensei Koichi gave a fun and entertaining Dharma message to the Dharma School students with his puppet friend Elmo. He later gave an adult message that was also enjoyable, meaningful and with a personal touch.
Appreciation to Russ Nakano for chairing the service, Joyce Okumura-Lee for the Buddhist reading, Emi and Rich Mori as Greeters, Bob Matsumoto for broadcasting the service on Zoom, Steve Tsuchida assisting as a Zoom Co-host and Cheryl Shay who played the Gatha and oshoko music.
Meet and Mingle
The ABA will host its annual Meet & Mingle on Friday, November 14. ABA members and guests will have an evening of tasty bites, drinks, a Left-Center-Right tournament, and other games. It will be a fun night to meet and mingle.
