The Eitaikyo Service was held on Sunday, November 19. The guest speaker was Rev. Kenji Akahoshi, a retired BCA minister. The Eitaikyo Service is a time when we remember all those whose contributions to our Temple in the past allow us to continue to hear the Dharma today.
Keiro Kai Luncheon
After the service, the Mountain View Buddhist Temple hosted its annual Keiro Kai Luncheon to honor the Seniors, who are MVBT members who are 70 years old and older.
Keiro Kai is an annual gathering to honor, celebrate, and show our gratitude to our elders at MVBT. We at the Mountain View Buddhist Temple, are deeply grateful for all that our Keiro have done and continue to do for our Sangha.
The MVBT and Zone 12 hosted approximately 225 attendees at our annual Keiro-Kai Luncheon. This year’s theme was “Issho Ni” or “All Together Now,” expressing MVBT’s spirit of appreciation and cooperation shared between our multiple generations.
During the program, we also honored two Centenarians Mr. Tad Horino and Mr. Hiroji Kariya.
Thank You to Zone 12!
