Devon Matsumoto is the 2021 recipient for the Asada Memorial Scholarship.
The Asada Memorial Fund was established in 1969, by Ichiro and Virginia Asada in memory of their son Ronald. Ronald was killed in action serving the US Army in Vietnam. He attended Dharma School at the Mountain View Buddhist Temple and was active in the YBA.
This fund is intended to assist a deserving person of the Mountain View Buddhist Temple in pursuing Buddhist education and learning. This fund is fully funded by donations.
