Welcome to Mountain View Buddhist Temple
The Mountain View Buddhist Temple Sangha is made up of people of various backgrounds and ages. Many "pioneer" members and their children and grandchildren are active members of the Sangha.

Many new families who have moved to the area have joined our Sangha adding to the diversity of our temple. New members are always welcomed and encouraged to participate in the many temple activities.

Obon/Bazaar Update

2009 Obon Festival

Come and celebrate Obon, the annual mid-summer Buddhist holiday, on Saturday, July 18, from 4 to 10 p.m. and Sunday, July 19, from 12 to 8:30 p.m. at Mountain View Buddhist Temple, 575 N. Shoreline Blvd., across from Safeway and the Bailey Park Shopping Center.

Bon Odori Dance practices: July 2, 7, 9, 14, 16 from 7:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.

Kangi-e Obon/Hatsubon Service:  July 5, 2009, at 10 a.m.
Guest Speaker: Rev. LaVerne Sasaki, BCA Minister Emeritus
